Keeping your child comfortable

Offer fluids often, dress them in light clothing and let them rest. Follow your doctor's advice on fever medicine and dosing for your child's age and weight.

Seek care promptly if

Your baby is under three months with any fever, your child is unusually drowsy, has a rash that does not fade when pressed, has difficulty breathing, or shows signs of dehydration.

Trust your instincts

You know your child best. If something feels wrong, contact a doctor.
