What to expect

Menopause usually happens between 45 and 55. Periods become irregular before stopping, and hot flushes, sleep changes and mood shifts are common.

Protecting long term health

Bone and heart health need extra attention after menopause. Strength training, calcium and vitamin D from diet, and regular checkups help.

You do not have to just put up with it

If symptoms affect your daily life, a gynaecologist can discuss options that are safe for you.
